Riyad al-Maliki is a Palestinian politician and diplomat who has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Palestinian Authority since 2007, making him one of the longest-serving foreign ministers in the world. Born in 1953 in Ramallah, he trained as an engineer and was involved in Palestinian political life before joining the Palestinian Authority's government structures after Oslo.
